Eidfaxy and Stygor, our two ponies with amiable temperament, live together with me, Wurzl the gnome, at the Prommeggers’ home, the Waldhof in Großarl. Guess where our two Icelandic ponies are coming from? From Iceland, of course, an island in the far north with cold, stormy weather. That is why Eidfaxy and Stygor have a warm winter coat, protecting them against wind and weather. and even from the bitter cold in winter.
If you would love to ride them, the Waldhof is the perfect place for you: during winter season young cowboys and cowgirls may ride their laps around the covered riding site on Eidfaxy and Stygor twice a week, looked after by our Waldhof nannies. In summer pony-riding is offered three times a week. If you already feel safe and confident in the saddle, you are free to discover the surroundings on horseback alone. Even when the weather is less inviting to go outside, you can enjoy a horseback ride in our covered riding site.
